Install the Chrome extension
This is how contacts get into Lyncera. Open a LinkedIn profile yourself, press analyse in the side panel, and the person, their company and their fit score arrive here.

Common questions
- Does Lyncera send messages for me?
- No, and it never will. It drafts; you read, change and send. That boundary is in the terms as well as the code.
- Why is the extension necessary?
- Because reading a profile has to be something you do, on a page you opened. There is no server-side path that visits LinkedIn, so without the extension there is nothing to analyse.
- Does 'Update all contacts and companies' refresh LinkedIn profiles?
- No. It re-reads companies from their own websites, which anyone may read, and for people it counts and lists the ones that have gone stale so you can open them yourself. To update many people in one step, re-import a fresh LinkedIn export instead — that reads no page at all.
- I clicked the toolbar button and got a small window instead of the side panel.
- That is the popup, and it is a complete panel — everything works in it. The button opens the popup because that path does not depend on the extension's background worker, and the popup then tries to open the side panel for you. If it could not, the arrows button in the panel header does it on a real click.
- Can I use Lyncera without LinkedIn at all?
- Yes, with reduced value. Import a CSV or add contacts by hand, and everything except profile analysis works — messages, follow-ups, company research, analytics.
- An analysis failed. Was I charged?
- The credit is reserved before the call and returned if it fails. If your remaining count looks wrong, report it with roughly the time and we can check the usage ledger.
- Why is the research allowance so much smaller?
- A research run reads many pages and costs roughly ten times what a profile analysis does. The allowance reflects that rather than pretending the two are the same.
- Can two people share a Pro account?
- No. Pro is one seat, and sharing a login is not a workspace — you would have no roles, no assignment and no team analytics. Team starts at three seats.
- Where is my data, and can I take it with you?
- In the EU, in Supabase. Settings → Privacy exports the whole workspace as JSON and deletes the account, both without asking anyone.
- The fit scores do not match how I actually judge people.
- Then the ideal customer profile needs work rather than the scoring. Settings → AI sales profile is what every score is computed against; the more specific it is, the more the numbers agree with you.
