Install and pair the extension

Lyncera reads a LinkedIn page only when you press a button on a page you opened yourself. That happens in the browser extension, so nothing works until it is installed and paired with your workspace.

It is in the Chrome Web Store, and Settings → Integrations in the web app links straight to it. Chrome shows you which permissions it is asking for before it installs anything. Once it is installed, pin Lyncera to your toolbar so the button is always visible.

Click that button to open the panel. It opens as a popup and immediately hands over to Chrome's side panel, which is taller and stays open while you read — if the hand-off does not take, the popup itself is a working panel and the arrows button in its header opens the side panel. The keyboard shortcut is Alt+L, and you can change it at chrome://extensions/shortcuts.

To connect it to your account, open Settings → Integrations in the web app, generate a pairing code and enter it in the panel. The code works once and expires after ten minutes. Once paired, the settings page shows Paired and the date; if it still says Not paired yet, the code had been used or had lapsed — generate another.
